Faces of Park County:
A Community Portrait Project
Join artist Maria Falbo for a hands-on portrait workshop using colored pencils on toned paper. Learn how to create expressive faces while exploring essential techniques, tools, and materials. Students will leave with a completed portrait, a personal portrait drawing kit to continue their creative journey at home, and the chance to contribute to a collaborative community artwork celebrating the people of Park County.
Bonus: a collective piece will be exhibited at the Livingston Center, with auction proceeds supporting local youth arts programs. This is more than a class; it’s an invitation to help build a creative portrait of our community.

Sneak Peek Exhibit of Auction Items
The LCAC will be showcasing the artists featured in the live art auction event on Saturday, September 27th. This exhibit of the region's best artists will include their show-stopper piece as well as an additional smaller piece for purchase. Get an early look at some of the incredible Live Auction items up for grabs at the 2025 Art Week Auction!

DIY Photography Transfers: Angela Yonke
Join photographer Angela Yonke to create fun photo transfer collages using household materials, paper, and upcycled fabrics.
Participants will use eco-friendly solvents found at home and safe for handling to transfer printed images on to various papers and fabric for patches. Using an image-release and transfer printmaking process, images will be arranged into curated compositions and hand-printed on to different surfaces. You may also use your own images by emailing the instructor 48 hours in advance of the workshop. Time will allow for adding additional designs with art materials to your artworks as well. This session will include demonstration of techniques and tips for working at home.

Artist Meets Students - Cynthia Handel/Park High School
Artist Cynthia Handel will lead a Park High School art class in a abstracted self-portrait workshop using cardboard and other common materials. The students will then hang their work in the Danforth's gallery space from September 24–27 alongside Handel's current exhibit, Torso/Vessel and Other Objects.

Crazy Head Creek Farms Open Studio and Farm Shop
Our small weaving studio/farm store is located on one of our alpaca farms in the Shields Valley. We will be open for Park County Art Week from 2 pm - 6 pm daily, September 22 - 26 and 10 am - 6 pm Saturday, September 27. We will have weaving demonstrations in our studio and a variety of products available in our shop.

Cut Paper Art Class with Georgia Donovan
Participants will learn basic paper cutting techniques usable for different ages and abilities. All materials will be provided. Donovan, one of the featured artists in the show at The Frame Garden, specializes in intricately cut paper pieces that she frequently paints with oil paint. The artist learned to cut paper from her grandmother when she was a child and her work has evolved ever since.
Where: The Frame Garden
Who: Ages 7+. There is a limit of 10 participants. A second class will be added if the first one fills.
When: Saturday, September 27th, 10-11am
Cost: While the class is free, to ensure people don't register and simply not show up, taking space from other potential participants, we require a $15 deposit or a credit card number, cards wont be charged if you show up and $15 cash or check will be returned at the end of class. If this is a hardship for anyone please talk to us.

LIVE Auction - Art Week Fine Art Auction
Showcasing the region's finest art, the inaugural live auction will be a night to remember. Renowned auctioneers, Black and Associates, will lead an exciting evening including a riveting and fast paced Live Auction of southwest Montana’s best art! The region's finest artists will showcase new works in glass, oil, watercolor, pastel, photography, sculpture, and mixed media.
Visit the Livingston Center for Art and Culture beginning Beginning September 9th to preview all the artwork available in the sale. You can also view our Live Auction Gallery online (available late June).
Doors open at 5PM. Cocktails and conversation will be served prior to a fully plated dinner catered by Food For Thought Catering featuring locally-sourced menu items. Our Live Auction event will begin at 7:15 PM.

Cost: $250. Registration required.
